HONOR MagicBook 15: Best laptop under INR 40k?
HONOR MagicBook 15 has Windows 10 Home edition laid on top of incredible specs. Under the hood, it helms the mighty AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor with Radeon Vega 8 graphics. This is further equipped with 8GB DDR4 Dual Channel RAM and 256GB PCle NVMe SSD storage. The PCIe, for the uninitiated, is the latest and fastest SSD solution. It is technologically superior and renders effective gain in transfer speeds (5x accelerated Read Speed which means 80% faster copying of files, 30% snappier loading of PPTs and 29% quicker file decompression)
In other words, all these translate to a super seamless workflow. You’ll be breezing through multi-tasks and tabs without breaking a sweat. Time thus saved can be well spent elsewhere.
HONOR MagicBook 15’s potent performance is aided by competent cooling from dual fans at the core. HONOR calls it the Sharkfin 2.0 design, which just like the name keeps the system cool and ensures that performance doesn’t throttle even under demanding loads.
Such raw performance is backed by 6.5-7 hours of battery endurance. This coupled with the 65W Type-C fast charger throws battery anxiety of any sort out of the window. The supplied adapter tops up 53% of the juice in just 30 minutes and a full charge can eke 6.3 hours of video playback, 6.6 hours of office use, or 6.2 hours of web browsing. Also, the charger being just 160 grams, makes it a comfortable companion to all road warriors out there in a post-pandemic world.
Those lean, uniform bezels make the display immersive, but mandate an innovative approach towards webcam. HONOR artfully integrates an innovative pop-up camera that lies concealed under its full-size keyboard and magically surfaces right when you need it.
You don’t have to compromise on the connectivity front either, as there is a versatile port array on the periphery. There is a port for almost every purpose including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Type C, HDMI, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Innovative and Intelligent
Even though the highlights mentioned above are more than what you could ask for from a decent laptop, HONOR spruces up things with few magic ingredients of its own.
Beginning with the boot, you’d encounter the brilliance of HONOR engineering. The power button of HONOR MagicBook 15 doubles as a Fingerprint reader. So, when you tap the power key to fire up the PC, the machine caches your fingerprint and auto-logins, which is smart as well as secure. You no more need to worry about remembering complicated passwords or leaking them to someone accidentally.
Speaking of security, the Pop-up Webcam which when not in use, stays head-down as a keyboard key. This prevents any kind of unwarranted window to your private life. That’s tiny yet tremendous care for user’s privacy.
